The problem is, we're married. And generally speaking, married people (especially Mormon ones) make babies sometime in the future. And the problem with this is that babies and little children probably shouldn't be watching Ouran High School Host Club or The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
This presents a conundrum. We love these shows, and we want to own them, but do we really want our children accidentally stumbling upon this?

As a communication studies student and media arts follower, I've decided that being a good parent isn't just about keeping "inappropriate" media away from children - it's about teaching them to make informed media decisions. There's something to be said for keeping material on-hand to introduce at appropriate times or if they show interest. As long as you're careful not to let your "you can't watch this" shelf become one (of likely many) source of brooding rebellious childhood angst.
ALSO HOST CLUB IS HILARIOUS SO IT MUST BE OK.
That picture is.. very.. um. Hooray for cosplay.
Haha.
Oh, certainly. I say this in jest, mostly. While I would object to my children watching Host Club at an early age, I also remember that I watched Ranma 1/2 when I was young and I turn out okay.
Relatively.
Personally, my problem is the opposite. It's not that our daughter wants to get into our forbidden anime stashes, it's that she'd rather watch inane Disney live action shows than any anime at all!
hahahhahaha
