The news story would be almost sensational, like something out of a tabloid, if it wasn't so chillingly true.

A case of fact more bizarre than fiction
TIME does a very courageous story on Scientology. While many people say TIME isn't real journalism, they are a trusted news source in my eyes, and if what they say is true, TIME and its partner CNN may be getting a lot of flak in the incoming months. I stumbled upon it when looking at another TIME magazine article on their website and noticed the headline on the Top 10 read stories for the day. Kimberly observantly remarked that it's from 1991. The fact that it's over fifteen years old and yet still being read today is odd, most likely because of the recent controversy of the anti-Scientologist group Anonymous.

Although it doesn't lessen the impact of the article any, I feel I should point out to you that it is dated from 1991, so TIME is unlikely to receive any flak in the incoming months that they haven't already gotten.
But good find. It's a very good read. Any news about scientology seems somewhat sensational because honestly, "Woman gives birth to 18 rabbits" almost sounds plausible next to the strange doctrine and downright questionable methods they are passing off as "religion."
How bizarre. That was my fault on a bit of fact checking. I saw it on the Top 10 news articles being read that day on their website and assumed that an article over 10 years old would still be read.
I suppose it's all that flurry of controversy over the Annonymous group that's been fighting against it.
