The Plague

Saturday night, I couldn't go to bed because it felt like I was sleeping in a sauna.

Sunday night, I felt I was sleeping in a walk-in freezer.

With the drastic temperature change seems to bring about a compromised immune system, and I am currently suffering from some debilitating disease of the worst kind. Chills, aches and pains make me want to end my suffering, as well as a throbbing headache. I have been having an incredibly difficult time keeping myself warm, and it's killing me slowly. I'm sitting in the BYU library right now - why? - because I have several papers, a quiz, a group project due on Monday and several midterms to study for. Of all the times to be struck down by illness, this is not the week to do it.

I'm sure the people next to me are positive I'm diseased. My breathing is labored and heavy, and my face is constantly screwed up in pain. Such an image is not pleasant, and as such, I wander the cold, windy steppes of campus alone, like a leper, unless my girlfriend is next to me. Then we wander like a leper couple.
