The System is down

Whenever I try to open up my Synaptic Package Manager, I get this error message:

E: Type '--20:52:45--' is not known on line 1 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/winehq.list
E: The list of sources could not be read.
Go to the repository dialog to correct the problem.
E:_cache->open()failed, please report.

What does that mean? Aside from I completely failed at installing Wine.

Sounds like a copy-paste fail into the new repository listing. Open the file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/winehq.list and see if it looks sane.

Here's an example file from my system:

jhearn@flip:~$ cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/gwibber.list
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/gwibber-team/ubuntu intrepid main
# deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/gwibber-team/ubuntu intrepid main

jhearn@flip:~$
