Dichotomy

In the first hotel we stayed in, I had the pleasure of using a bidet, which basically shoots water up your butt after you exorcise demons in the bathroom. It is a most uncomfortable experience, and I can't say I liked it.

Today, I used one of the more common toilets in Korea, which involves a ceramic hole in the ground which you squat over to defecate. If you're lucky, there will be toilet paper already there, though most of the time, they expect you to provide your own. This, too, is a most uncomfortable experience, but I am able to say I was successful in completing this trial as well (and was lucky).

Still, out of the two, I'd say the former was slightly more pleasant than the latter.

But that would mean that Ted's a LIAR! He's probably not even in Korea - he's just making stuff up based on stories he's heard to make us think he's actually there. This is just like all those fake news stories. Eventually "local blogger Mark Kelly" will show up in his story and drop a nonsensical quote.

Must I take a picture of a ceramic pit to prove my point?!

I see that I have destroyed any journalistic integrity on my blog, and it's probably deserved. But mark my words, you will see this pit, whether you like it or not, and you shall rue the day you decided to distrust my words! Or something like that.
